Works On Paper early sources Texture Shipwreck
My work on paper follows the same interest as paintings: to use the medium at hand to physically depict the passing of time. These drawings (as with my paintings) have subjects that seem to lie behind an atmospheric scrim. Thousands of graphite hatch-marks that constitute these drawings promise specificity of detail at a distance but upon close inspection obscure their subjects as if behind a screen.
